Project Summary
The Big Lake Marketplace development is located along a high profile stretch of Highway 10, east of downtown Big Lake, Minnesota and offers 110 acres of highway commercial and 90 acres of industrial land area. With 9,500 lineal feet of highway site line, and a current 20,000 trips per day (and growing), this site offers a wealth of commercial opportunity at less than $8/square foot.
The North Star Commuter Rail Corridor runs directly adjacent to the industrial business park area at the south of the development, offering the added amenity of rail service to the industrial area, as well as the extra commuter traffic to the area. This development is being designed to fit a fast-growing community that is expected to increase by 78% before 2020, and 114% by 2030.
An abundance of residential developments will surround this site. A proposed multi-use Big Lake ice arena site is located in this development, with a portion of land to be donated to the Becker-Big Lake Hockey Association. Planned uses for this civic amenity include indoor soccer, a dance studio, and indoor events such as rodeos and concerts. Other potential users in this development include a convenience store, sports bar, hotel, strip retail store center and professional office condominiums. A detailed project description and concept plan is included in this website, as well as
applicable site demographics.
